The Shooting For Peace program was invited to address the Sierra Vista Vista High School Black Student Union students that reside in Las Vegas, NV. The BSU is an organization at many schools on the West Coast have that addressed African American culture as well as community involvement. For this particular event, a high school counselor ask Jerome Williams to come address the BSU organization and speak on the Shooting For Peace opportunity, his life challenges and experiences, and enlighten them on things he has learned in his life journey. The event concluded with question and answers from the organizations as well as the Shooting For Peace initiative awarding some Sierra Vista High School students with academic scholarships from Dillard University.
